Why does that concern you? It may be possible they are just as tired of you calling him pansexual/bisexual. If in their ‘story’ they want him as gay it shouldn’t bother you. You have no more a right to declare his orientation as they do.
Except he’s pansexual in canon. He outright states it and calling him gay or straight is bi/pansexual erasure. It’s a thing that we shouldn’t be doing.
I really don’t understand how it could improve the story to remove that aspect of his personality. It strikes me as something that would immediately make him OOC.
Yeah, this bothers me because he has a CANON relationship with Isabela, and a relationship with Karl as well. The only way you might mistake him for NOT Bi/Pansexual is if you’re a fem!Hawke, because the sexual relationship with Karl is never mentioned. In my opinion, though, that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
If you’re playing as an M!Hawke, he’s NOT gay, and he even SAYS he’s not - his language is completely geared towards being open to loving ANYONE, regardless of sex, or, I think, race.
